Certificate II Community Services
The Community Services industry is for those interested in working with people. The industry is about maximising independence and community participation for the people you support. It is about supporting and advocating for an individual’s needs and interests and empowering people from diverse backgrounds. The Certificate II Community Services CHC20108 is the perfect entry-level qualification for this exciting industry.
Certificate III Community Services
With 10.4% of the Australian workforce employed in community and health services, these combined industries are Australia’s third largest employer (source: www.cshisc.com.au). With these statistics in mind, the need for professional well trained support workers is rapidly increasing. The Certificate III Community Services CHC30108 applies to community work delivered through a broad range of services which provide support to individuals and groups.
Certificate IV Community Services
On completion of the Certificate IV Community Services (CHC40708) qualification you will be able to design and deliver programs that aim to enhance the well being of individuals and groups. This qualification covers the knowledge and skills required by support workers and case workers who work autonomously under the broad guidance of others. As a nationally recognised qualification, it refers to the specific knowledge of a client group and appropriate intervention processes applied in residential and community settings.
Diploma of Community Services Work
The Community Services industry is for those interested in working with people, and the Diploma of Community Services Work (CHC50608) is for managers in this field. The industry is about maximising independence and community participation for the people you support. It is about supporting and advocating for an individual’s needs and interests and empowering people with from diverse backgrounds. This qualification addresses work in roles that usually involve service delivery, either direct client work and/or community education or development projects.
Workers at this level operate at an advanced skill level and may also have responsibility for the supervision of other staff and volunteers.
