Certificate IV Disability

The disability care industry is one of the fastest growing and most rewarding industries in Australia. Skilled disability care workers can use this nationally recognised Certificate IV in Disability Work (CHC40308) to gain a well-respected career in Disability Care. Using this certificate, you could:

  • Apply knowledge and skills gained through qualifications and/or previous experience to provide training and support to people with disabilities to enhance their ability to achieve greater levels of independence, self reliance and community participation
  • Report to service managers and may liaise with health professionals and other service agencies
  • May work without direct supervision and may be required to supervise and/or coordinate a limited number of lower classified workers

Diploma of Disability

This qualification (CHC50108) is for you if you are responsible for the coordination and management of agencies delivering services to people with a disability. In your current role you may:

  • be involved in service delivery, either direct client work and/or community development projects
  • have responsibility for supervision of other staff and volunteers
