Participants who have previous experience or studies are placed, whenever possible, in that industry. This provides the participant with practical work experience and often, a current referee, which can be invaluable when applying for jobs.
Bridgeworks' personalized service does not stop there. Participants are required to attend an interview, similar to that found in a real job situation, before starting their Work for the Dole placement. Bridgeworks staff will pick participants up from their houses, take them to the appointment, walk them through the interview and then deliver them back to their house afterwards.
The staff at Bridgeworks Personnel Ltd aim to provide support to both the participant and the host organization throughout the Work for the Dole experience. Participants are contacted regularly to ensure their placement is fulfilling their expectations and they are benefiting from the experience.
Our brokerage model is well managed, with our own unique database, which enables us to access contacts within host organizations throughout Brisbane, from Bribie Island, west to Laidley and south to Beenleigh.
We have up-to-date information on host organizations that are interested in helping Work for the Dole participants in all types of activities. Our sponsorship program, which commenced in September 2002, has to date placed over 1500 participants in various host organizations, ranging from golf clubs to research institutes.
